Pet Hints and Tips

I have a dog and two cats. I've had to get creative around the house to keep up with them! Hope you find these helpful!

Have a cat?

1) Put your old shredded or torn up items with personal information in the cat litter garbage bag. If a thief wants to sort through that... they probably deserve what they are going to find!

2) Use Newspaper under and around the litter box.
My cat sometimes misses the box! So a little newspaper opened up and spread under it makes for easy clean up later.

3) Use Newspaper IN your litter box! I have an old cat and had to put a litter box in my room because he won't make the trek to the basement to use that one. I didn't want litter everywhere in my room, so I use old newspaper in the box. It's absorbent and easy to roll up and toss out!

4) Use clear packing tape (with the edges rolled over so it sticks) on the edge of the sofa's and chairs where your cat scratches. It's an inexpensive way to save your furniture and you usually have it around the house!

Have a Dog?
1) User a dryer sheet on your dog when they come in from outside. It helps take the stink off of your animal and may pick up some stray hairs that would normally shed.

2) For dogs that shed a lot, along with daily brushing, use a lint roller on them!

3) Tired of hunting for and cleaning up after your dog does his deed in the entire yard? Put them on a chain that only reaches so far until they "go". Then you can let them off the chain to roam around and when it's time to clean up, you'll know right where to search!

Have a hint or tip about your pet you'd like to share? Leave a comment, I'd love to hear it and pass it on.

Enjoy being a mom all day!
