Insect and Pest Hints and Tips

1) To help stop ants from entering your house, find where they are coming in and try to sprinkle a wall of pepper. It's non toxic and the ant's don't like crossing the hot pepper.

2) Got Wasps? Check your vent to your range hood. Our house and my moms house both had nests in them and they kept coming inside every once in a while and didn't know where from. We figured it out, and got the nests out and used old screen to cover the outside of the vent so no new wasps would come back.

3) Use hairspray on wasps or bees that do enter the house. It will stiffen their wings stopping them.

4) Cover your open soda can with a tin foil cap when your outside. This will prevent any unwanted "stings" from an insect that may enter when your not looking!

5) Stop flies from buzzing around your garbage can, hose it out, let it dry in the sun and sprinkle a little dry soap in them.

6) Use peppermint where you have mice. Mice don't like it so it will keep them away.

7) Put some cloves in the corners of your kitchen cabinet or under the sink to keep ants away.

Have a hint or tip about pests that you'd like to share? Leave a comment, I'd love to hear it and pass it on.

Enjoy being a mom all day!

Great tips, I will remember the hairspray tip - that is a good one.

I routinely use Diet Coke to Kill and keep ants out , feed it or sweet and low to them directly. They will eat it and die because it has no caloric value.

I also control spiders by BRINGING in DADDY LONG LEG SPIDERS. Daddy long legs are harmless and hide well , they eat smaller , more dangerous spiders and insects.
